While solar eclipses come around every one to two years, this one is projected to be a once-in-a-lifetime event. Nicola Fox, associate administrator for NASA’s Science Mission Directorate, saidthe upcoming solar eclipse will be “the most accessible eclipse this nation has experienced in this generation.”
