There are very few things that are more refreshing in the summer than a cold glass of lemonade and it also happens to be one of my daughter's favorite drinks! My husband doesn't mind the powdered lemonade mixes, but ever since I started juicing, I much prefer to to make it from scratch! I would also prefer it if I could get my husband or children to drink my spinach lemonade recipe...but we don't always get everything we want.
I will admit that making homemade lemonade is a little more expensive than using the powder mixes, but the taste is worth it....and it is still cheaper than the fresh squeezed lemonades that you buy at amusem*nt parks and fairs (we just at a fair this weekend - $5 for a 24 oz lemonade is just ridiculous!).
Chick Fil'A makes the best lemonade and this lemonade recipe is about as close as you are going to get to being a copycat of the version that you get at Chick Fil A. Although, on second thought, this homemade lemonade recipe is the same one that I was making with my mom when I was 10 years old!

How To Make Homemade Lemonade | Copycat Chick Fil'A Recipe!
You won't want to go back to using the powders after you try this homemade lemonade recipe! It is a copycat version of the Chick Fil'A recipe!

Ingredients
- 1 ½ cup freshly squeezed lemon juice about 8 - 10 large lemons
- 1 cup sugar if making diet lemonade, use 1 cup granulated sugar substitute; If using sugar substitute packets, check the manufacturers website for the ratio
- 5 cups water
Instructions
In a half-gallon pitcher, whisk the sugar with 2 cups warm water until completely dissolved
Add remaining water and the lemon juice and stir to combine.
Chill for at least an hour.
Serve over ice
Notes
if making diet lemonade, use 1 cup granulated sugar substitute
If using sugar substitute packets instead of granulated sugar substitute, check the manufacturers website for the ratio of packets to cup - they are all a little different
